Towards the end of 2017, the TCCI board surveyed our members to see what they wanted for the future, what they valued about the organisation and wanted they wanted us to improve on. Some of this feedback was pretty brutal and in a perverse way, I like that! Challenging feedback means we have great scope to improve (the power of positive thoughts!). Our members valued the networking opportunities through BA5s but the standard day and time didn’t suit everyone and the business awards were a great success.
The main feedback we sought was around education / training / upskilling and what our members wanted the TCCI to provide. The overwhelming response was for inspiring, out-of-town business people to present to members. Through our new strategic plan, the TCCI direction is clear – we want to deliver ‘High Quality, High Impact’ for our members and this feedback started something really exciting! It is vital that we present our members with business support that excites them as well as offering a high quality, high impact bang for their membership buck.
We are pleased and proud to announce the new ‘Elevate’ Series. This series will showcase NZs best and brightest, bringing high calibre business people to Taupo to talk about their business experiences, the challenges and successes they had, and the key factors that helped in their success. These events will have key take home messages to help our members and other businesses in the district grow and improve.
